It was a dark and snowy night
but the cave had fire
the people were warm and safe
but then the wind blew snow into the cave
the fire dwindled
the people feared life without fire
yet, from back of cave came the elder:
"We must always remember:
we found fire once,
we will find it, again."
For Kevin Walk, who suggested the first line of this poem.
